Backstory

You arrive to the mansion as Harry Dresden, a magician who uses their magic to help solve mysteries. You were told in your letter that during a party, the maid was murdered and drained of their blood! Use your mind palace to uncover the clues to who murdered the maid.

Control scheme:

WASD : Forward, Left, Back, Right movement

Mouse: To look around

E: Interact/Continue in dialogue

Escape: Open mind palace

Crimson Estate is a project final for RIT.  Bailey Chapman and I scripted all the game mechanics. I also designed the tutorial level. Gavin Hehir designed the cover page and the mansion level. Allen Ko and Zach Luger designed the story/lore of the game, the art for the main menu, and the dialogue character art.

**If you get very stuck in the game**

All ideas have on-hover descriptions to help guide the player. Changing your current action will sometimes yield different responses from the npcs. Additionally, players can combine certain ideas simply by dragging their ideas into eachother in their mind palace.
